Austin Vita is supporting a renowned high-tech company in Oberkochen in the search for a Research Assistant (m/f/d) Software Pre-Development.
Our partner is a global market leader with unique technologies, consistently driving development forward with continuous innovations.

Your Tasks:

  • Contribute to the development of state-of-the-art software and hardware architectures for ZEISS MultiSEM, handling extreme data streams.

  • Collaborate closely with leading experts across various disciplines and key customers to shape future requirements for multi-beam electron microscopy.

  • Define, plan, lead, and implement development tasks and sub-projects with international partners and specialists.

  • Present and publish development results internally, to clients, and external collaborators.

Your Profile:

  • Excellent academic background (Master's, preferably Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Strong programming skills in C/C++/C# and extensive knowledge of parallel architectures and algorithms.

  • Preferably, several years of experience in designing and implementing distributed systems (hardware and software).

  • Familiarity with high-throughput and high-speed data processing, along with a broad technology overview (e.g., FPGA, GPU, or microcontroller programming).

  • Proven experience in managing complex projects within interdisciplinary teams.

  • Independent, precise, goal-oriented work style, high dedication, quick comprehension, excellent communication skills, assertiveness, and strong teamwork.

  • Proficiency in English and the commitment to learn German.
