BD Medical had ambitious growth plans, wishing to achieve a 700% manufacturing scale-up. To do this, they required 2 project engineers. The requirement was for the engineers to conversant with the full project life-cycle, in combination with experience of high volume plastic injection moulding and exposure to Medical Technology manufacturing environments, quality standards and regulations (circa 4 businesses in the UK operating in this space!)

Our approach was tobroaden the target candidate profile to include Project Managers, allowing us to consider a combination of an experienced Project Manager with a less experienced Project Engineer. We also widened the technical brief to include candidates with backgrounds outside of Medical Technology but still within highly regulated, safety critical environments.

2 contractors successfully secured for long term assignments with one eventual transferring to work directly with BD after delivery on the original project.
